We cleaned Artemis' cage the other day and let him play in one of my gardens, he had SO much fun! LOL He thought he was a wild rat, just for a minute. It was amazing, he ate only weeds, not my plants... I might have to get a whole "herd" of rats and fence them in my gardens once in a while. :)

OOHH. I do that with my rats sometimes.. but be careful.. hawks have been known to swoop down right in front of people to get mice and rabbits.

We get mostly crows and gray squirrels where we are, not too many hawks. I also was within 2' of him the whole time... I am always neurotic about losing animals.

We'll have to try it again while the weather's warm. he really had a good time! Since his brother passed he hasn't been the same so a little "pick me up" now and then is a good thing.
