This is a necklace that I made for my friend. I made all of the beads as well as the talisman itself and strung the necklace as well. The larger picture doesn't do the colors and subtle nuances of the design justice so please also see the closeup of two of the beads.
This was a custom piece, of course, since it was a talisman. On the whole I am pretty happy with it. I don't usually use such large beads, or polymer for this type of thing, (since I'm a metalsmith). I am used to sterling and gems. I thought, though, since I was making the talisman from polymer it should match the beads exactly... color-wise my friend is not into a lot of flash or brightness.
The talisman was wired so that it can be removed from the cord if my friend prefers to put it on a chain or plain cord.
Thanks. I didn't seal the talisman or beads, the stuff I use doesn't have any issues with color bleeding that I have seen in the year or so that I have been using it. It's pretty nice stuff, not the easiest to work with but much more durable than what I used to use.
Have a wonderful day!

A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
